New Year, New You......?

So it's been a while since I last blogged and to be fair I have done nothing since....... not exactly nothing but nothing of interest.

I still don't have a job, I spend a good 20 HOURS of the week volunteering in my local Oxfam shop and when I'm not doing that I'm looking for job, applying for jobs hearing nothing back from jobs I've applied for. It really irritates me that I've applied for about 50 since November and not heard back from a single one.....how hard is it to send a quick email saying sorry you've not been successful? Seriously you only have to type it out once and copy it into as many emails as you need!

I have however started a health kick where I go walking/jogging about 3 times a week, i even bought some fancy running leggings so I look the part although I've yet to get a decent pair of trainers (but they are next on my list.)

I have also started reading books again, at the moment I'm getting through one every 2/3 days, the only positive about that is I have an endless supply in Oxfam that I can borrow. At the moment its only chick lit books but I really do need to start reading some classics as I've never actually read any (so if you have any recommendations let me know!) The most recent one I've read that really got me sucked in was I Heart New York and its follow up I Heart Hollywood by Lindsey Kelk, for two days I completely submerged myself in the story and didn't want to put it down until i finished it. The thing that really grabbed my attention was my admiration for the character who runs off to New York and never comes back, if I could afford to do that I'd do it in a flash but then I remembered its all fiction. But it has made me want some adventure in my life, as at the moment I have no social life and hardly any actual friends where I live....I NEED A JOB somewhere out of this town where I can actually meet new people.....hopefully MALE!

It's always a sign you need to get out more when your mother suggests trying Internet Dating to try and find a man, the fact she was in hysterics at my response 'I've already tried it and it's all middle aged pervy men or foreign people who can barely write in English let alone talk it!' She'll be setting me up with guys next which I'm not too sure I like the sound of!

I'm of to enjoy my favourite Saturday night past time........snuggling up in bed reading a book and scoffing chocolate!

Bye Bye Manchester

Today I decided that I'm actually going to start using this thing properly as I haven't for a while!

I'll post bits and bobs, things about my day, things I like, I'll try not to focus too much on things I don't like (whats the point!)

I started this thing to document my trip to America but I didn't ever get round to doing it so now I have the time to do it I may as well start doing it properly!

I finally decided to cut my losses and leave Manchester, the financial strain of staying up here and not having a full time job finally hit in October so I've decided to pack up and go (much to my house mates displeasure) but if I don't look out for myself nobody else will! I only have 2 days left so I thought I'd go through all the pictures I've taken/had taken of me in the last 3 years and upload some of my favourites!

U.S.A!!

So the ever impending trip to America to see Kings of Leon in Bimingham, Alamaba and their hometown of Nashville, Tennesee is getting closer and closer!! It's had hiccups along the way and knowing my luck there are a couple more that could come out of the wood works yet.

So far the most important things are booked:

• Flights
• Hotels (Alabama & Nashville)
• Show tickets (Alabama & Nashville)
• Visa

All that's left to do is:

• Book greyhound from Alabama to Nashville
• Insurance
• Put money onto my mastercard!!

I can't wait for this trip, even more so now that I know I'm definately going and with getting my new job I'll have the money to go.

I can't wait to meet Tan and Leah from Australia, Nicole from Switzerland, Jenna and all the American girls and Last but not least Claire, Angie and Marg, you've all been there for me whenever I've eben down lately and have helped me out when times got tough and given me the best advice ever, theres not a single group of people who'd I'd rather go on this trip with.

In their blogs Angie, Marg and Tan have said that one of the best parts of this trip besides seeing the boys twice, is the fact we're all meeting up. We've all spent hours online chatting to each other and we're all going to finally have a face to face chat!

I really do think it's going to be a trip of a lifetime and I'll never regret going!! And everyone thats going needs this trip too!!

Only one month to go and I can't wait!!

Numero Uno

So seeing as all the girls off the site have created themselves one of these bad boys, I thought i would too.

I've tried blogging and online journalling in the past but never lasted longer than a week, so hopefully this time it'll last longer!

So things finally look like their on the up, but seeing as I've just put that it could all go incredibly wrong knowing my luck. I finally managed to get myself a job, albeit a shitty telesales one, but hey it pays the bills. Although my living arrangements at the moment are driving me insane! I've been living in my house for almost 5 months now and for 4 of those months my housemates boyfriend has been living here, I wasn't even asked about it when he first 'moved in' but now it's getting stupid, he's here everynight, using the internet, electricty, water etc not to mention watching my television! The worst thing is I feel like I can't even sit in the lounge when they're here as I feel uncomfortable and it's got to the point where I watch about 2 hours of television a week.

Then theres the part about the front door, when I didn't have a job this was the most annoying thing in the world, not that it doesn't annoy me anymore if anything its driving me even more insane! They don't just shut the front door everytime they go out, the slam it off it's hinges, causing the whole house to shake, and it sounds as though a bombs gone off, 8.30am on the dot every morning and whenever else they go out! It's got so bad it's actually starting to form crackson my walls, I've even tried mentioning it, you can guess what effect that had.....NONE what so ever!
